I have met my best friends through scrapbooking and card making. In fact my sister in law whom I love very much introduced me to stamping on my very first trip to visit them in California. I couldn't believe the beautiful cards they made by hand! We have a tradition in our house, my husband is part Irish and I'm the one who makes his favorite corned beef and cabbage (I know it's traditionally Ham and Cabbage, we just love the corned beef and look forward to it every year. We all dress up in green, my daughter used to paint our puppies green and we always have a huge dinner complete with my homemade Soda bread. Things aren't the same if we don't celebrate!

I am a self described lover of all things Irish! I love Irish Stepping, a good GF soda bread, Irish Pubs, and the best color ever, Green! I made this card out of a challenge to use Green! March's Fun Stampers Journey is centered around all things Green, and I was so excited to get a chance to use some of the products on sale.

Yesterday I was privileged to have a house full of stampers just because. You see just like the butterfly I too have brightly colored wings and a fluttering flight. I love to be surrounded by people who bring the best out in me, who bring out my colors and appreciate them. I recently have met the amazing and gifted designer Mamie Carson. You can find her as Mamie Carson on Youtube. She has a bright, clean and simple style, but I struggle with that. I am the one who wants to distress, sponge ink, and tear that card up, which is why I'm known as "the one with inky hands...". There's a chinese symbol for it, don't believe me, look it up! I came up with this clean and simple card to celebrate Easter. I love it! I really want to do more to it, but I think I will let the colors speak for themselves very much in the same way that when a butterfly passes, you don't notice all the intricate details, but you really just take in the whole butterfly in childlike wonder and exclaim, "Oh look a butterfly."
